Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC)
Technically, taking advantage of low-temperature heat sources and creating efficient projects involve various difficulties. The most common system used for heat power generation is the steam turbine, but it requires high temperature and pressure for proper operation. The preferred technology, especially at low temperatures, is the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC). In ORC systems, organic fluid is used instead of high-pressure steam and water. ORC technology uses fluids that have a lower boiling point than water. With this feature, energy production non-economic systems are becoming more efficient. Industrial waste heat, water heat of piston engine jacket, geothermal heat, solar pool, oil and gas fields are among these heat sources.
VAT Enerji offers solutions to businesses in organic Rankine conversion with German technology ORCAN. ORCAN is the world’s smallest ORC system. ORCAN has a standard 20 kWh electricity generation capacity. Capacity can increase with using more than one device.
